Let's start from the beginning. Jason and I met on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Houston Rodeo. We went on our first date a few days later, fell in love instantly, and knew we would spend the rest of our lives together, but you can't rush these things. We got engaged on November 8, 2008 in Matagorda, Texas on the beach. Now today we are in the midst of planning and getting excited about our next chapter together. I discovered the joy of blogging about 6 months ago so it was a given that I would start a wedding blog. I LOVE looking at pictures, reading about other couples who are tying the knot, and have really learned so much about the wedding planning process: what I want and things I can skip.
Jason wanted to get in on the action too, so this blog will bring a new perspective: the groom! We really have just begun planning-we have not set a firm date yet, but are leaning toward August 15, 2009 (because this is the only time I have 2 week's off from school until 2010).
We can't wait to share the joys of our planning, plus our trials and tribulations with you, both giving and (hopefully) receiving advice. We hope you enjoy our blog and visit often!

Thanks Jen! I love your blog-I work with Ashley Dubose which is how I found your blog and now I LOVE it, and your home blog too! I always talk to Ashley as if I know you! I will definitely let you know when I have qusetions-I just started the whole planning process-so much to do!
